AIO currently indexes 782 journals of which 82 cover a mix of topics that range from socio-cultural anthropology to physical anthropology, linguistics and archaeology. 496 journals cover ethnography and socio-cultural anthropology only, 158 cover archaeology, 38 cover physical anthropology, and 8 deal with linguistics. The remaining are further divided according to regional coverage: Europe (104), Americas (78), Asia (47), Africa (43), Australasia (18).
