The following charts give some indication of the richness and breadth of coverage.
Fig 1 Topical Coverage
AIO currently indexes 782 journals of which 82 cover a mix of topics that range from socio-cultural anthropology to physical anthropology, linguistics and archaeology.
496 journals cover ethnography and socio-cultural anthropology only, 158 cover archaeology, 38 cover physical anthropology, and 8 deal with linguistics.

Of 496 indexed journals dedicated to socio-cultural anthropology 206 are of general nature. The remaining are further divided according to regional coverage: Europe (104), Americas (78), Asia (47), Africa (43), Australasia (18).

Of 158 indexed journals dedicated to archaeology 35 are of general nature. The remaining are further divided according to regional coverage: Europe (49), Americas (42), Asia (14), Africa(10), Australasia (8).

Of 782 journal titles indexed 433 are published in English, 196 are Latin-based, 77 are in Slavonic languages and the remaining 76 are in other world languages .
